Moss Freed

Born in Manchester, Moss Freed studied music at Edinburgh University before being awarded scholarships from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, the Bucher/Fraser Trust and the Berklee World Scholarship Tour to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, subsequently gaining a masters in composition at Goldsmiths College. His compositions have been performed around the world, and supported by BBC Radio 3, Jazz FM and BBC 6Music. Moss runs critically acclaimed original projects Let Spin and Moss Project, outside of which he performs as a guitarist in jazz/folk group Flekd and the Spike Orchestra, whose album ‘Cerberus’ was recently released on John Zorn’s Tzadik lable.
