Huw Warren’s Trio Brasil

Welsh pianist and composer Huw Warren is internationally renowned for his electic range as a pianist and composer, with strong influences from the mainstream jazz tradition, Celtic folk music and contemporary classical music all present in his playing. Another influence that has been prominent in Huw’s playing for many years is the Brazilian music tradition, and in Trio Brazil, the compositions of Hermeto Pascoal, Jobim, Egberto Gismonti and many others are reinterpreted with Huw’s customary inventiveness and rhythmic alacrity.
